(Baonghean,vn) - The Guardian magazine recently announced the 50 most beautiful beaches in the world voted by readers with a full range of colors, including beaches "full of trash" and beaches that exist underground.

Number one is the beach.Source d'Argent, Seychelleswith postcard-perfect pink sand dunes, timeless granite beaches, and secluded coves on La Digue, the Seychelles’ third largest island. Just off the coast, you can find Creole-inspired restaurants. |
BeachDune du Pyla (France)- Europe's largest sand dune - over 100m high - comes in second. Just an hour's drive from Bordeaux, you can stretch out on pristine sand reflecting the sparkling sunlight. Take the ferry on the Arcachon dike along the coast to Cap Ferret for a closer look at this beautiful beach. Fishermen here also serve oysters right on the shore along with shrimp, pâté, bread and wine. |
Next in third place isShoal Bay, Antigua. With 3km of pristine white sand, crystal clear Caribbean waters, offshore coral reefs, a handful of outdoor bars and restaurants, there really isn’t much more to it than that! If you prefer a more peaceful setting than the bustling Jabberwock Beach, head a little further east, near the town of Dickenson Bay. |
Coming in at number 4 isCala Saona, Formentera. You can rent a motorbike at the port of La Savina and head to Cala Saona, just a few kilometres away. This beach has clear blue water, white sand and steep cliffs in both directions. It is also a great place to watch the sunset. |
BeachGlass Beach, CaliforniaThe beach, which comes in at number five, is quite unique. Between 1906 and 1967, glass, objects, and vehicles were dumped directly into the sea. A subsequent cleanup program removed the metal and other non-biodegradable waste, leaving behind shards of glass and ceramics that washed ashore as multi-colored rocks. Today, the beach is part of MacKerricher National Park, and visitors are not allowed to take these distinctive “rocks.” |
Finishing 6th place isStarfish Beach, PanamaThe San Blas and Pearl Islands are expensive to get to, but the pristine coastline of Bocas del Toro in southern Costa Rica is a fraction of the cost. From the Bocas town center on Isla Colón, you can catch a boat taxi to travel between the 10 inhabited islands and 300 other islands in the area. |
More like a cove than a beach,Fakistra on the Pelion PeninsulaRanked 7th, surrounded by cliffs and jungle, it has white sand and pebble beaches and clear blue water. |
If asked for the perfect tropical beach then perhapsPlaya Flamenco on Culebra Island- voted number 8 will be everything you can imagine. It is a bay with white sand, warm turquoise waters and lush vegetation. The island is almost undeveloped because the US military chose it as a battleground with a rusted Sherman tank lying on the sand. |
Koh Kradan Beachin the Andaman Sea is ranked 9th and is the best beach in Thailand. It has fine sand, clear water and excellent diving with coral reefs just offshore. You can also take a 3-hour island hopping boat trip to explore the lesser-known spots, or take a boat to Koh Waen, Ko Chueak and the emerald caves of Ko Muk. |
Last in the top 10 is an underground beach -Playa del Amor, Mexico. In the early 1900s, this was a weapons testing site for the Mexican government, so it is believed that a bomb created the basin. To get here, you have to swim or row a boat through a very long tunnel. However, the beach is definitely worth the effort; you might even spot a humpback whale on the way! |
