| Coming in at number 4 isCala Saona, Formentera. You can rent a motorbike at the port of La Savina and head to Cala Saona, just a few kilometres away. This beach has clear blue water, white sand and steep cliffs in both directions. It is also a great place to watch the sunset. |

| BeachGlass Beach, CaliforniaThe beach, which comes in at number five, is quite unique. Between 1906 and 1967, glass, objects, and vehicles were dumped directly into the sea. A subsequent cleanup program removed the metal and other non-biodegradable waste, leaving behind shards of glass and ceramics that washed ashore as multi-colored rocks. Today, the beach is part of MacKerricher National Park, and visitors are not allowed to take these distinctive “rocks.” |

| Last in the top 10 is an underground beach -Playa del Amor, Mexico. In the early 1900s, this was a weapons testing site for the Mexican government, so it is believed that a bomb created the basin. To get here, you have to swim or row a boat through a very long tunnel. However, the beach is definitely worth the effort; you might even spot a humpback whale on the way! |
