Photo exhibition "Nghe An Health - 70 years for people's health"

(Baonghean.vn) - This afternoon, March 13, to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Nghe An Health Sector (March 23, 1946 - March 23, 2016), Nghe An Department of Health in collaboration with the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists of Nghe An province organized a photo exhibition with the theme: "Nghe An Health Sector - 70 years for people's health".

The opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien, along with leaders of departments and agencies under the Ministry of Health. Photographer and journalist Vu Quoc Khanh - President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Ho Duc Phoc - Member of the Party Central Committee - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, representatives of leaders of provincial departments and branches.

The photo exhibition "Nghe An Health - 70 years for people's health" includes 70 photos by father and son photographers Tu Tien and Tu Thanh.

35 black and white photos taken by photographer Tu Tien during the fierce war years and the first days of peace.

35 color photos by photographer Tu Thanh (son of artist Tu Tien), taken during the period of innovation and development of the medical sector, are a continuation of the profession and continue to write the history of the medical sector in Nghe An.

The exhibition partly demonstrated the attention of the Party, State and Government leaders through the periods to the Nghe An health sector, as well as highlighted the achievements, difficulties and challenges of the Nghe An health sector over the past 70 years.

Notable are the industry's remarkable advances in disease prevention and control, improving the quality of medical examination and treatment, and applying scientific and technological achievements in treatment.

The works reflect examples of good people, good deeds; medical ethics, selfless sacrifice, dedication to work, overcoming difficulties, overcoming hardships, wholeheartedly serving patients; facilities that have well implemented administrative procedure reform processes, medical examination processes, infrastructure development, etc.
