Photo exhibition "Nghe An Healthcare - 70 Years for the People's Health"

(Baonghean.vn) - This afternoon, March 13th, to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Nghe An Health Sector (March 23, 1946 - March 23, 2016), the Nghe An Department of Health, in coordination with the Nghe An Provincial Branch of the Vietnam Association of Literature and Arts and the Vietnam Photographers Association, organized a photo exhibition with the theme: "Nghe An Health Sector - 70 Years for the Health of the People".

The opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien, along with leaders of departments and bureaus under the Ministry of Health, and photographer and journalist Vu Quoc Khanh - President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.

Representing Nghe An province were: Mr. Ho Duc Phoc - Member of the Central Committee of the Party - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; and representatives of leaders from provincial departments and agencies.

The photo exhibition "Nghe An Healthcare - 70 Years for the People's Health" features 70 photographs by father and son photographers Tu Tien and Tu Thanh.

These 35 black-and-white photographs were taken by photographer Tu Tien during the fierce years of war and the early days of restored peace.

35 color photographs by photographer Tu Thanh (son of artist Tu Tien), taken during the period of innovation and development of the healthcare sector, represent a continuation of the profession and a continuation of the history of healthcare in Nghe An.

The exhibition partly reflected the attention of Party, State, and Government leaders throughout different periods to the health sector of Nghe An, as well as highlighting the achievements and difficulties and challenges of the Nghe An health sector over the past 70 years.

Notably, the industry has made remarkable progress in disease prevention and control, improving the quality of medical examination and treatment, and applying advanced scientific and technical achievements in treatment.

The works reflect examples of good people and good deeds; medical ethics, selfless sacrifice, dedication to work, overcoming difficulties and hardships, wholeheartedly serving patients; facilities that effectively implement administrative procedure reforms, medical examination procedures, and infrastructure development…
