(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of February 23, the Nghi Loc District Police arrested Vo Van Hung (born in 1994), residing in Hamlet 7, Nghi Dien Commune, for the crime of theft.

Earlier, at around 9:00 AM on February 22nd, Vo Van Hung rode his motorbike with license plate 37M1 5744 to the house of his maternal uncle, Nguyen Ba Thuy (born in 1969), in Hamlet 7, Nghi Cong Bac Commune.

The safe was completely destroyed.

Seeing the door unlocked, Hung entered the house and decided to steal. He stole the family's 95kg safe and a sledgehammer, then wrapped them in tarpaulin and transported them by motorbike to the Nghi Cong Bac commune cemetery. There, Hung used the sledgehammer to break open the safe and took 12 taels of gold. He then took the gold to Vinh City and sold it for 34,420,000 VND.

At 7 PM the same day, Mr. Thuy's family discovered their safe was missing and reported the incident to the authorities. After investigation, the Nghi Loc District Police identified Vo Van Hung as the perpetrator and arrested him. The case is currently under further investigation.
