Syria: Hundreds of cement factory workers fall into the hands of IS

A representative of al-Badiyeh company said that the victims of the kidnapping had not been seen since late afternoon on April 7.

Nadim Kreizan, a local official, told SANA that witnesses saw about 125 workers kidnapped on a bus moving towards an area controlled by IS.

Ramdi Abdulrahman, head of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, told CNN that about 150-250 factory workers were missing and could be held hostage.

The kidnapping comes after a series of bloody attacks on civilians by the IS terrorist organization, most recently a suicide bombing that killed hundreds of people in Brussels, Belgium.
