Syria: Hundreds of cement factory workers fall into IS hands

A representative of the al-Badiyeh company said the kidnapping victims had not been seen since late afternoon on April 7.

Nadim Kreizan, a local official, told SANA that witnesses saw about 125 workers kidnapped on a bus moving towards an area controlled by IS.

Ramdi Abdulrahman, head of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, told CNN that between 150 and 250 factory workers were missing and could be held hostage.

The kidnapping comes after a series of bloody attacks on civilians by the IS terrorist organization, most recently a suicide bombing that killed and injured hundreds in Brussels, Belgium.
