The cause was determined by doctors to be due to the patient eating undercooked food, which allowed worm larvae to enter the body and parasitize the eyes.

The surgery took 20 minutes. Doctors successfully removed 2 worms from patient P's eyes. Doctors said that after 1 week, the patient will be re-examined and the possibility of vision recovery is very high.

According to doctors, after entering the human body, Toxocara larvae will be released, penetrate the intestinal wall and travel through the bloodstream to the liver, lungs, and central nervous system. Here, the larvae can survive in the human body for many months.

The patient will have clinical symptoms such as itchy skin, hives, so it is difficult to detect and confused with skin diseases, but the consequences are very serious. For children, they will be weak, have diarrhea, nausea, vomiting; muscle and joint pain; cough with eosinophilic sputum, asthma-like difficulty breathing, lung infiltration; red rash or hives, erythema multiforme, enlarged liver, hard, smooth surface, painless; sometimes the spleen is slightly enlarged.

Adults will have itching, asthma-like difficulty breathing, and may have reduced vision in one eye due to granulomatous retinal inflammation or chronic endophthalmitis. In addition, the disease can also manifest in joints, muscles, skin, heart, or damage to the central nervous system due to larvae invading the brain, causing seizures, paralysis, convulsions, and entering the spinal cord causing disorders...

For infected patients, after conducting blood tests, ultrasound or CT scan, the doctor will have an appropriate treatment plan./.
