Lexus LX570 record price of over 8 billion in Vietnam

The luxury SUV model increased in price by 2.3 billion VND due to the impact of the new special consumption tax rate of 130% instead of 60% as before.

Under the impact of the new special consumption tax from July 1, after changing the prices of Toyota cars in Vietnam, the Japanese car company continues to adjust the selling prices of luxury cars under the Lexus sub-brand. With 9 models on sale with engines of 2 liters or more, Lexus does not reduce the prices but keeps them the same or increases them.

The biggest increase belongs to the large SUV LX570, with a new price of 8.02 billion, while the old price was 5.72 billion, an increase of 2.3 billion. The car is equipped with a 5.7 liter engine, so it is subject to a new special consumption tax rate of 130% instead of the previous 60%, causing the car price to increase sharply.

Competitor Mercedes GLS also adjusted prices. GLS in Vietnam has 4 versions using engines from 3 liters to 5.5 liters with prices ranging from 4-12 billion. GLS 350d version costs 4.029 billion; GLS 400 costs 4.399 billion; GLS 500 costs 7.829 billion and the most expensive is GLS 63 AMG costs 11.949 billion.

Besides the LX570, the second most expensive car model is the LS460L luxury sedan, from 5.968 billion to 7.68 billion, an increase of 1.712 billion. The ES350 has the smallest increase of 480 million.

Lexus customers can find stability in the models with 2.5-liter engines or less, such as ES250, NX200t, RX200t; these three models keep the same selling price. Specific prices below:
