Lexus LX570 sets record price at over 8 billion VND in Vietnam.

The luxury SUV model has seen a price increase of 2.3 billion VND due to the impact of the new special consumption tax rate of 130% instead of the previous 60%.

Under the impact of the new special consumption tax from July 1st, after changing the prices of Toyota vehicles in Vietnam, the Japanese automaker continues to adjust the prices of luxury cars under its Lexus brand. For the 9 models currently on sale with engines of 2 liters or more, Lexus did not reduce prices but kept them the same or increased them.

The biggest price increase was for the large SUV LX570, now priced at 8.02 billion VND, down from 5.72 billion VND, an increase of 2.3 billion VND. Because the vehicle is equipped with a 5.7-liter engine, it is subject to a new special consumption tax rate of 130% instead of the previous 60%, leading to a significant price hike.

Mercedes' competitor, the GLS, has also adjusted its prices. In Vietnam, the GLS comes in four versions with engines ranging from 3 liters to 5.5 liters, priced from 4 to 12 billion VND. The GLS 350d is priced at 4.029 billion VND; the GLS 400 at 4.399 billion VND; the GLS 500 at 7.829 billion VND; and the most expensive is the GLS 63 AMG at 11.949 billion VND.

Besides the LX570, the second biggest price increase was for the premium sedan LS460L, rising from 5.968 billion to 7.68 billion, an increase of 1.712 billion. The smallest increase was for the ES350, also by 480 million.

Lexus customers can find stability in models with engines of 2.5 liters or less, such as the ES250, NX200t, and RX200t; these three models retain their original prices. Specific prices are listed below:
