This is the result of three years of implementing the land conversion policy according to Directive No. 08-CT/TU dated May 8, 2012, of the Provincial Party Committee on promoting the mobilization of farmers to consolidate and exchange land plots and encourage land accumulation to develop large-scale agricultural production.
Specifically: Rice cultivation has 23 models, with a planted area of 3,324.9 hectares in Dien Chau, Yen Thanh, Hung Nguyen, Nghi Loc, Do Luong, Nam Dan, and Thanh Chuong districts.
Maize cultivation has 10 models, covering an area of 725.7 hectares with yields ranging from 55 to 60 quintals/hectare in the districts of Tan Ky, Anh Son, Con Cuong, Thanh Chuong, Nam Dan, and Do Luong.
There are 8 models of peanut cultivation, covering an area of 453.71 hectares with yields ranging from 20 to 30 quintals/hectare in the districts of Dien Chau, Nghi Loc, Do Luong, and Nam Dan.
Eighteen models for growing watermelons, cucumbers, zucchini, gac fruit, clean vegetables, and chili peppers for export are located in the districts of Anh Son, Hoang Mai, Tan Ky, Thanh Chuong, Dien Chau, Quynh Luu, Con Cuong, Nam Dan, and Yen Thanh. Three models for growing sugarcane, cassava, and pineapple are located in Tan Ky, Quynh Luu, and Yen Thanh.

According to the agricultural sector's assessment: Although the province has developed many large-scale model fields, there are still insufficient mechanisms to encourage people to build large fields, and land consolidation through the transfer of agricultural land use rights faces many difficulties. Therefore, the development of large-scale fields in Nghe An is not yet truly sustainable.
