62 large fields in Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - Up to now, Nghe An has deployed 62 large-scale field models. However, the construction of large-scale fields in the province is not really sustainable.

This is the result of 3 years of implementing the land conversion policy according to Directive No. 08-CT/TU dated May 8, 2012 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on promoting the mobilization of farmers to "consolidate and exchange plots" and encourage land accumulation to develop large-scale production in agriculture.

Specifically: Rice has 23 models, with a planting area of ​​3,324.9 hectares in Dien Chau, Yen Thanh, Hung Nguyen, Nghi Loc, Do Luong, Nam Dan, Thanh Chuong.

Corn has 10 models, planting area of ​​725.7 hectares with yield reaching 55 - 60 quintals/hectare in districts: Tan Ky, Anh Son and Con Cuong, Thanh Chuong, Nam Dan, Do Luong.

There are 8 peanut models, with a planting area of ​​453.71 hectares and a yield of 20 - 30 tons/hectare in the districts of Dien Chau; Nghi Loc, Do Luong, and Nam Dan.

18 models of growing watermelon, cucumber, squash, gac, clean vegetables, and chili for export in Anh Son, Hoang Mai, Tan Ky, Thanh Chuong, Dien Chau, Quynh Luu, Con Cuong, Nam Dan, and Yen Thanh districts. 3 models of growing sugarcane, cassava, and pineapple in Tan Ky, Quynh Luu, and Yen Thanh.

In 2015 and 2016, more than 30 models continued to be implemented, of which more than 20 models were implemented in 2015.

The assessment of the agricultural sector shows that: Although the province has built many large-scale fields, there are still no strong enough mechanisms to encourage people to build large fields and the accumulation of land through the transfer of agricultural land use rights still faces many difficulties. Therefore, the construction of large fields in Nghe An is not really sustainable.
