The Vietnam Motor Show 2016 will return to Hanoi.

After three consecutive years "based" in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Motor Show 2016, a domestic automobile exhibition, will return to the capital.

Returning this time, the Vietnam Motor Show 2016 is expected to provide consumers in the North with a major platform for the automotive industry.

Specifically, according to the preliminary plan announced by the organizing unit, the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA), the Vietnam Motor Show 2016 will take place from October 5-9 at the International Exhibition Center, Hanoi.

The 12th Vietnam Motor Show is expected to feature 13 brands managed by VAMA members and will be held on an area of ​​11,000 square meters.

Notably, this year's exhibition will feature only the luxury brand Lexus, as Mercedes-Benz has moved to the imported car exhibition (Vietnam International Show 2016). Instead, the German automotive joint venture will participate in the Vietnam Motor Show 2016 with its subsidiary brand, Fuso.

Returning this time, the Vietnam Motor Show 2016 is expected to provide consumers in the North with a major platform for the automotive industry, reflecting, to some extent, the image of the domestic automotive industry.

In 2016, the business environment witnessed many changes in both policy and consumer demand. The policy of reducing excise tax on small-engine cars, implemented from July 2016, was expected to help lower prices on many car models, thereby creating more opportunities for consumers to own a car.

Furthermore, the automotive industry is witnessing the emergence of a range of digital vehicle control technologies, providing a more modern and safer experience for users. A representative from VAMA stated that these trends will also be clearly demonstrated in the product lines on display and in the demonstrations at the exhibition.

According to the plan, another major automotive exhibition, the Vietnam International Motor Show (VIMS 2016), will also be held in October 2016, organized by a group of authorized car importers and distributors. While VMS 2016 took place in Hanoi, VIMS 2016 will be held in Ho Chi Minh City.
