Vietnam Motor Show 2016 will return to Hanoi

After 3 consecutive years of being "stationed" in Ho Chi Minh City, the domestic auto exhibition Vietnam Motor Show 2016 will return to the capital.

In this return, Vietnam Motor Show 2016 is expected to bring to consumers in the Northern market a large playground of the automobile industry.

Specifically, according to the preliminary plan announced by the organizer, the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA), Vietnam Motor Show 2016 will take place from October 5-9 at the International Exhibition Center, Hanoi.

The 12th Vietnam Motor Show is expected to have the participation of 13 brands managed by VAMA members and will be held on an area of ​​11,000 m2.

Notably, this year’s exhibition will only have the luxury brand Lexus participating because the Mercedes-Benz brand has switched to exhibiting imported cars (Vietnam International Show 2016). Instead, the German auto joint venture will participate in the Vietnam Motor Show 2016 with its affiliated brand Fuso.

In this return, Vietnam Motor Show 2016 is expected to bring to consumers in the Northern market a large playground of the automobile industry, which more or less bears the appearance of the domestic automobile industry.

In 2016, the business environment witnessed many changes in both policy and consumer demand. The policy of reducing special consumption tax on cars with small engines, applied from July 2016, is expected to help reduce prices on many car models, thereby creating more opportunities for consumers to own a car.

In addition, the automobile industry is witnessing the emergence of a series of digital vehicle control technologies, bringing a more modern and safer experience to users. VAMA representatives said that these trends will also be clearly demonstrated in the product lines displayed and performances at the exhibition.

According to the plan, also in October 2016, there will be another big auto exhibition, Vietnam International Motor Show (VIMS 2016) organized by a group of genuine auto importers and distributors. While VMS 2016 takes place in Hanoi, VIMS 2016 will take place in Ho Chi Minh City.
