Hoang Mai Water Plant: Expected to supply water from July 30

(Baonghean.vn) - Continuing to speed up the progress, starting the trial run, supplying water on July 30 is the direction of comrade Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in the working session with departments, branches, sectors, Quynh Luu district, Hoang Mai town and units related to the construction of Hoang Mai water plant on the morning of June 3 in Hoang Mai town.

Hoang Mai Water Plant is built in the area adjacent to Quynh Trang Commune, Hoang Mai Town and Tan Thang Commune, Quynh Luu District, using water from Vuc Mau Lake. The main water supply pipeline starts from the Hoang Mai Water Plant area and ends at Quynh Lap 1 Thermal Power Plant Project, with a total length of 20 km. Phase I has an expected capacity of 30,000 m3 per day and night, and Phase II is upgraded to 80,000 m3.

Up to now, Hoang Mai water plant is completing the leveling of the treatment tank areas, the operator house, the level 1 pumping station, internal roads, and the electrical system. The investor has also imported enough ductile iron pipes and accessories, the support column system, and the pipe bearings, which have completed 50% of the work volume. Japanese technology and processing are ready, and the items will be installed as they are completed. The water treatment cluster for the Hoa Sen Steel Plant is expected to be installed this June.

Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien requested Hoang Mai town to promptly resolve the problems of compensation and site clearance.

Currently, the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district has handed over 23 hectares of land for the construction of the factory, ensuring compliance with the construction requirements in phase I. Hoang Mai town has handed over 10.2 km of pipeline, the remaining 10 km has not been handed over due to problems in compensation and site clearance. Up to this point, the total investment capital for the Hoang Mai water plant project is over 125 billion VND.

Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien acknowledged the efforts in site clearance work of Quynh Luu district, Hoang Mai town and the investor. However, compared to the requirements, the progress of Hoang Mai water plant still does not meet the current requirements.

He also noted that departments, branches, investors and the two localities need to continue to coordinate with relevant units to continue to speed up the progress of site clearance work.
