Rescued 2 sailors in distress at sea

(Baonghean.vn) - At 6:00 a.m. this morning (July 11, 2015), two crew members Ho Xuan Tuyen (born in 1983) and Pham Van Hiep (born in 1986), both residing in Binh Minh hamlet, Phuc Tho, Nghi Loc, Nghe An, were brought safely ashore by Nghe An Border Guard in coordination with the Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue Center of Cua Lo town and fishermen.

Previously, at 10:30 a.m. on July 10, Cua Hoi Border Control Station, Cua Lo - Ben Thuy Port Border Guard Station, Nghe An Border Guard received information from Mr. Ngo Xuan Ninh, residing in Phuc Tho Commune, Nghi Loc, Nghe An, reporting that the NA 0222TS vessel of Mr. Ho Xuan Tien (born in 1974), in Binh Minh Hamlet, Phuc Tho Commune, Nghi Loc District, was in an accident. On board were Ho Xuan Tuyen and Pham Van Hiep, on their way back from fishing, when they reached buoy area No. 1, No. 2, 600m east of Ha Tinh sea, they encountered a whirlwind, big waves and strong winds and sank.

Upon receiving the news, the Border Guard Station of Cua Lo - Ben Thuy Port, in coordination with the Center for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue of Cua Lo Town, sent forces to rescue, but due to big waves and strong winds, Nghe An Border Guard mobilized ship BP 06-06-10 and 10 officers and soldiers of Squadron 2, to sortie and coordinate with fishermen to rescue the victims.

After more than 8 hours, in the dark, the rescue team overcame difficulties and wind to coordinate with fishermen to rescue 2 crew members and bring them safely to shore./.
