After snatching a girl's phone and speeding away, the couple was pursued for several kilometers and apprehended by special forces police.

On the afternoon of September 13th, the special task force of the Criminal Investigation Department for Social Order Crimes (PC45) of the Ho Chi Minh City Police announced that they had handed over Nguyen Ngoc Trung Hien (29 years old) and Ta Thanh Vy (25 years old, both residing in District 10) to the police of Ward 15 (District 10) for investigation into the act of robbery.

According to initial information, at approximately 1:10 PM on the same day, Ms. N. (28 years old, residing in District 1) was standing in front of her house in alley 68 Dong Nai (Ward 15, District 10) holding an iPhone 6 Plus when Hien, riding a motorbike with Vy as a passenger, approached her, snatched the phone, and gave it to Vy to keep.

Upon discovering the incident, special task force officers (PC45) immediately pursued the suspects through several streets to alley 452 Nhat Tao (Ward 7, District 10), where they apprehended both suspects along with their vehicle and evidence, and handed them over to the police station in Ward 15 (District 10) for processing.

At the police station, Hien initially confessed to being a drug addict and having two previous convictions for robbery.
