Prosecution of PVC case, arrest of former General Director Vu Duc Thuan
The police agency has decided to initiate a criminal case: Intentionally violating state regulations on economic management causing serious consequences at PVC and its member units.
The Investigation Police Agency (C46) of the Ministry of Public Security is investigating and verifying violations that resulted in a loss of nearly VND3,300 billion at the Vietnam Oil and Gas Construction Joint Stock Corporation (PVC Corporation).

On September 15, 2016, the Investigation Police Agency, Ministry of Public Security issued a decision to prosecute the criminal case: Intentionally violating state regulations on economic management causing serious consequences according to Article 163 of the Penal Code occurring at Vietnam Oil and Gas Construction Joint Stock Corporation and its member units.
At the same time, the decision was made to prosecute 4 defendants including:
1. Vu Duc Thuan, former member of the Board of Directors and General Director;
2. Nguyen Manh Tien, Deputy General Director;
3. Truong Quoc Dung, former Deputy General Director;
4. Pham Tien Dat, former chief accountant of PVC
On the crime of intentionally violating state regulations on economic management causing serious consequences as prescribed in Article 165 of the Penal Code.
At the same time, issue an arrest warrant and search warrant for the above 4 defendants.
The Investigation Police Agency, Ministry of Public Security is urgently investigating and expanding the case.
