A body wearing a backpack full of rocks was found floating in the river.
The decomposing body of a man, along with a backpack full of rocks, has been discovered in the river.
According to initial information, at approximately 2:30 PM on September 22nd, staff of the Inland Waterway Port Authority discovered the body of a man floating on the Saigon River. They towed it ashore (near the Saigon Bridge, Binh An Ward, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City) and reported it to the police.

Upon receiving the report, authorities in District 2 arrived at the scene and recovered the victim's body. At the scene, the victim was approximately 30 years old, wearing a black shirt, shorts, and carrying a backpack.

The police found two mobile phones and some money on the victim. Notably, the backpack contained only hard rocks. The victim had no identification documents on him.
By 5 PM that same day, the victim's body was transferred to the hospital morgue for examination.
The cause of the incident is currently under investigation.
