The American newspaper National Interest has ranked three types of naval, air and land forces in the world. Russia, the United States and China stand out in all three lists.

According to this publication's scheme, the countries with the most elite fleets in the world are the United States, China, Russia, Great Britain and Japan.

Russia has traditionally been considered a land power, but the Russian Navy also possesses a large number of warships. "The Russian Navy has 79 large warships, including an aircraft carrier, 5 cruisers, 13 destroyers and 52 submarines," the newspaper said.

The list of the best armies according to the National Interest includes the United States, China, India, Russia and the United Kingdom.

The Russian infantry received advanced modern equipment - they are well-equipped and fully mechanized. The infantry force numbered 285,000 people, - as the article reflects.

The author of the document also emphasizes that the upcoming Russian army will have unique armored vehicles on the "Armata" platform. At the same time, NI believes that the strongest army is the US army.

The ranking of the best Air Forces in the world according to NI includes only four countries - the United States, Russia, China and Japan. Russia has 1,500 combat aircraft and 400 military helicopters. The Russian Air Force has entered a period of sustained modernization.
