Authorities arrest individuals involved in illegal sand mining on the Lam River.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 26th, the Hung Nguyen District Police, in coordination with the Patrol and Control Team ( thuộc the Waterway Traffic Police Department - Provincial Police), arrested an individual who was illegally extracting sand on the Lam River.

The boat used for illegal sand mining was seized by authorities.

At 11:00 AM on September 26th, the Security and Order Enforcement Team of Hung Nguyen District Police, consisting of three officers: Captain Hoang Dinh Thanh - Deputy Team Leader, Major Tran Xuan Thuy, and Senior Lieutenant Dang Thanh Trung, coordinated with the Patrol and Control Team ( thuộc the Waterway Traffic Police Department - Provincial Police) to arrest Nguyen Van Mao (residing in Hung Lam commune, Hung Nguyen district) who was illegally exploiting sand in Hung Xuan commune (Hung Nguyen district).

Upon inspection, authorities discovered 5 cubic meters of freshly extracted sand on the suspect's three boats. Immediately afterward, the authorities drew up a report and handed over the case and the vessels to the Hung Nguyen District People's Committee for handling according to their jurisdiction.
