According to the investigating agency, on June 10th, Hiep and his wife argued over a love triangle and jealousy. At that time, Phan Trong Luat (Hiep's husband) lost control and hit his wife.

The victim threw a pan of boiling oil at Mr. Luat. The incident resulted in the man suffering burns to his face, ears, and legs, requiring emergency hospitalization.

According to the assessment results, Mr. Luat suffered a permanent disability of 14%.
