After listening to the National Assembly representatives report on the planned agenda for the 2nd session of the 14th National Assembly, voters in Nghia Thuan commune offered feedback and suggestions on many issues related to the local and national situation.

Regarding the marine environmental pollution incident along the coast of four central provinces, Mr. Nguyen Quang Tien, from Hamlet 3, Nghia Thuan Commune, expressed concern that although the Ministry of Health has announced that fish in the upper layers of the sea are safe to eat, while those in the lower layers remain dangerous. However, according to this voter, while the announcement is made for the public to understand, who will be held responsible if consuming fish from the upper layers is still dangerous? Furthermore, this voter suggested that discussions and solutions are needed to stabilize the lives and livelihoods of affected fishermen as soon as possible.

Voter Nguyen Quang Tien also expressed his concern about the state of education in Vietnam, noting that training is heavily focused on theory but lacks practical application; the number of vocational schools is small while the number of universities is large. Therefore, he suggested that effective solutions should be researched to ensure that education is placed in its rightful position as a top national priority.

Meanwhile, voter Bui Cong Chau – Head of the Nghia Thuan Commune Police – expressed his excitement about the upcoming enactment of the Law on Commune Police by the National Assembly. He suggested that, during the discussion and voting process for this law, National Assembly representatives should include the commune police force as a specialized force, allocate civil servant status to the position of deputy commune police chief, increase allowances, and provide health insurance for police officers.

Voter Le Van Nghe from Hamlet 7A suggested that the Party, State, and National Assembly continue to vigorously implement anti-corruption measures. “Six corruption cases will be brought to trial soon, but if we don’t closely monitor the process, other cases will arise,” Mr. Nghe said. In addition, this voter proposed effectively implementing the policy of downsizing the workforce and streamlining the administrative apparatus for greater efficiency.
