WikiLeaks releases thousands more emails related to Hillary Clinton.
(Baonghean.vn) - On October 13, WikiLeaks continued to reveal nearly 2,000 more internal emails from the campaign of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, bringing the total number of leaked emails published this past week to 9,000.
Recently released emails reveal that Clinton's campaign sought to reschedule the Illinois primary, arguing that holding the vote after "Super Tuesday" on March 15 would help halt the rise of a moderate Republican candidate.
Specifically, in November 2014, in an email exchange between campaign chairman John Podesta and Robby Mook—currently Clinton's campaign manager—Mook emphasized that officials in President Barack Obama's administration should leverage their connections in the president's home state to postpone the Illinois primary from March 15th to at least a month later.

Mr. Mook wrote: "The primary goal is to postpone the Illinois primary election until after mid-March... Mrs. Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, will not forget the friends who did this for them."
However, Illinois still held its primary election on March 15th as planned. At that time, Clinton won the Democratic primary in the state, while the Republican victory went to billionaire Donald Trump.
This is the sixth time WikiLeaks has released emails revealing the "dark side" behind the former US Secretary of State's election campaign.

The day before, WikiLeaks also released more emails related to the Democratic candidate's campaign, in which her advisors discussed the best way to publicize their opposition to the controversial Keystone XL project proposed in 2008 by TransCanada Corp (Canada) and ConocoPhilips (USA).
According to WikiLeaks, the leaked emails are part of a total of 50,000 leaked emails from campaign chairman Podesta that could be detrimental to Clinton.
