Egg truck burned after accident

(Baonghean.vn) - At around 7:30 a.m. this morning (October 14), Mr. Ho Ba Than was driving a motorbike carrying eggs from his hometown in Quynh Luu to Que Phong for sale. When passing through the Bu Bai slope in Chau Thang commune, Quy Chau, the motorbike had an accident and caught fire.

Mr. Ho Ba Than's motorbike was burned to the point that only the frame remained.

The initial cause of the accident was determined to be oil from the engine of the truck with license plate 37C – 041.26 driven by Mr. Tran Duc Hai (born 1984), hamlet 10, Bac Lam, Dien Lam commune, Dien Chau, which spilled onto the road, making it very slippery. When Mr. Ho Ba Than was driving a motorbike carrying 300 chicken eggs from Quynh Luu to Que Phong for sale, he suddenly slipped, fell over and the vehicle caught fire fiercely.

It is known that the car driven by Mr. Hai was driving from Dien Chau to Que Phong through km 98 + 300 of National Highway 48A at dawn when the engine block broke, causing oil from the engine to spill onto the road. This is a steep, winding road, combined with the rain and the large oil spill, making it a "trap" for road users.

The truck's engine broke, causing oil to spill over a long stretch of road, endangering people and vehicles passing by.

At the scene, more than 50m on the right side of the road was covered with oil. Mr. Than’s motorbike was burned to the frame. Broken eggs were scattered everywhere. Many parts of the motorbike Mr. Than was driving were still scattered on the side of the road.

The burnt saddle lay on the side of the road at the scene of the accident.

After the incident, authorities were present promptly to put up warning signs and handle the oil spill to ensure safety for people and vehicles traveling through this section of road.
