| The Australian cattle farm of Kieu Phuong Co., Ltd. (Tan Ky) has a scale of 1,000 head, currently with nearly 500 head, including nearly 100 cows, which give birth to approximately 100 hybrid calves each year, providing local breeding stock for the company's commercial beef cattle farming. |
Nghe An currently has over 727,000 cattle and buffaloes, including more than 428,000 cattle. Although it has the largest total cattle population compared to other provinces nationwide, the output of live beef cattle for slaughter only reaches over 14,000 tons per year, ranking 5th nationally. This is due to the low quality of the cattle herd; most farmers raise local yellow cattle, which are small in size.
Thanks to the province's support policy on the "Yellow Cattle Breed Improvement Program," over the years, Nghe An's cattle herd has gradually been crossbred with high-weight breeds such as Zebu hybrids. To date, the average percentage of crossbred cattle in the province has reached 42%, and in the delta region it has reached 75%.

| The Mong cattle breed is relatively large and well-suited to the conditions of high mountainous regions. Scientists encourage its continued development in the highland districts of Nghe An province. |
In the coming period, the provincial livestock departments will identify key commercial beef cattle breeds for the entire province and for each region, aiming to increase the annual output of live beef cattle for slaughter and boost income for livestock farmers.
