BMW M4 DTM brought to Vietnam by air.

More than 50 of the 5,000 components that make up the BMW M4 DTM are BMW racing parts. One of them is the carbon fibre chassis, which sets a new safety standard in motorsport. The solid chassis, which is a single piece like a steel roll cage, together with components such as the gearbox, clutch, dampers and rear spoiler, provide the BMW M4 DTM with the best possible protection against injury in the event of an accident.

The BMW plant in Landshut is responsible for the majority of the casting of high-tech components such as cylinder heads and engine covers. These parts are then processed, coated and heat-treated in Munich. The V8 engine produces around 480 horsepower and is the powerful “heart” of the BMW M4 DTM.

Engine power is transmitted to the wheels via a sporty 6-speed gearbox. It offers 11 specific settings, which engineers and drivers can react and adjust differently depending on the engine mode on different tracks.

The high-performance coupe version M4 DTM will participate in the imported car exhibition taking place in Ho Chi Minh City at the end of October.

The BMW M4 DTM has undergone exterior modifications to ensure powerful aerodynamics. In addition, the front end, bonnet and roof are eye-catching, refined to reduce the front surface area as well as reduce aerodynamic drag. The prominent rear-view mirrors with integrated turn signals on the BMW M4 DTM have also been modified to ensure a rapid airflow to the rear. The large rear spoiler holds the car firmly on the road.

BMW Motorsport engineers started developing the BMW M4 DTM before the race even started. DTM stands for“Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters”, a series for racing cars based on popular touring car platforms.

The racing cars used are all high-performance coupe versions of the luxury C-class sedan, upgraded according to the racing format, respectively BMW M4 DTM, Audi RS5 DTM and Mercedes-AMG C 63 DTM.
