Vinamilk donates 2 billion VND to flood victims in Ha Tinh and Quang Binh provinces.
(Baonghean.vn) - Over three days, from October 21st to 23rd, Vinamilk, in collaboration with Tien Phong Newspaper, organized a delegation to visit and personally deliver aid to people affected by floods in Ha Tinh and Quang Binh provinces, totaling 2 billion VND.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tu, Chief of Office and Chairman of the Trade Union of Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk), said that this amount was donated by all 10,000 Vinamilk employees, who contributed one day's salary to share the difficulties with people in flood-affected areas.
“As soon as we heard the news of the devastating floods in the North Central provinces, causing significant loss of life and property to farmers, all Vinamilk employees voluntarily donated at least one day's salary to support those affected by the storms and floods. We hope that the timely support from our employees will help the people overcome the immediate damage and provide moral support to help them overcome difficulties, quickly restore production, and stabilize their lives as soon as possible,” Mr. Tu shared.

For many years, upholding the Vietnamese tradition of mutual support and solidarity, Vinamilk's employees have proactively and promptly helped people affected by natural disasters and floods overcome difficulties and losses. On this occasion, the delegation presented 1,800 gift packages to people affected by natural disasters in Ha Tinh and Quang Binh provinces, each package worth 1,000,000 VND.
Specifically, in Ha Tinh province, the delegation distributed 900 gift packages to 900 households: In Cam Xuyen district, 200 gift packages were given to households severely affected in 6 communes including Cam My, Cam Due, Cam Thach, Cam Quan, Cam Thanh and Cam Vinh; in Vu Quang district, 300 gift packages were given to households severely affected in 3 communes of Duc Huong, Duc Lien and Duc Bong; in Huong Khem district, 400 gift packages were given to households in two communes, Ha Linh (200 packages) and Huong Thuy (200 packages).

In Quang Binh, the delegation will distribute 900 gift packages, each worth 1,000,000 VND, to households severely affected by the disaster in 9 communes in the southern part of Ba Don town, including: Quang Van, Quang Minh, Quang Son, Quang Loc, Quang Tan, Quang Trung, Quang Tien, Quang Hoa, and Quang Thuy.
In addition, Vinamilk allocated 200 million VND to provide specific support to particularly disadvantaged cases that suffered heavy losses in terms of lives and property during the recent storms and floods. On the first day in Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh province, the delegation presented aid to three cases: a savings account of 20 million VND to the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Loan (Group 1, Dai Nai Ward, Ha Tinh City), who passed away after her boat capsized during the recent floods, to help her two young children continue attending school; and 6 million VND to Nguyen Thi Thai, born in 1999, an orphan whose father passed away, whose mother is seriously ill, and who herself is suffering from leukemia. Her family is facing extreme hardship and lives in Hamlet 4, Cam Thach Commune, Cam Xuyen District, Ha Tinh Province. We donated 5 million VND to Mrs. Nguyen Thi Lan, 73 years old, who is raising two young grandchildren alone in Hamlet 1, Cam Thach Commune, Cam Xuyen District, Ha Tinh Province. Mrs. Lan's two grandchildren are in 2nd and 4th grade; their father died in a traffic accident, and their mother is currently working as a laborer in Hanoi.
