Tomorrow (October 16) Vuc Mau Lake will overflow.

(Baonghean.vn) - The rainfall in the past 2 days in Hoang Mai Town has been very heavy, the water level of Vuc Mau Lake is rising rapidly. Hoang Mai Irrigation Enterprise will discharge the overflow of Vuc Mau Lake from 7am tomorrow morning (October 16).

Mr. Ngo Quoc Thang - Director of Hoang Mai Irrigation Enterprise said: Recorded late this afternoon (October 15), the water level of Vuc Mau Lake was at 20.47 meters.

Based on actual water levels and weather forecasts, to ensure the safety of the reservoir and upstream and downstream areas, Hoang Mai Irrigation Enterprise has just announced that it will start spilling water from Vuc Mau reservoir at 7:00 a.m. tomorrow, October 16.

It is expected that 1-3 spillways of the Vuc Mau lake flood drainage system will be opened.

During the discharge process, depending on weather conditions and the amount of water reaching Vuc Mau Lake, the Irrigation Enterprise will operate the spillways according to approved procedures and will notify by siren so that localities and people can proactively respond.
