Tomorrow (October 16th), the Vuc Mau reservoir will be released from its overflow valve.

(Baonghean.vn) - The heavy rainfall over the past two days in Hoang Mai town has caused the water level in Vuc Mau reservoir to rise rapidly. The Hoang Mai Irrigation Enterprise will begin releasing water from the Vuc Mau reservoir starting at 7:00 AM tomorrow (October 16th).

According to Mr. Ngo Quoc Thang, Director of Hoang Mai Irrigation Enterprise, the water level in Vuc Mau reservoir was recorded at 20.47 meters late this afternoon (October 15).

Based on the actual water level and weather forecast, and to ensure the safety of the reservoir and upstream and downstream areas, Hoang Mai Irrigation Enterprise has just issued a notice that it will begin releasing water from Vuc Mau reservoir at 7:00 AM tomorrow, October 16th.

It is expected that 1-3 spillway gates of the Vuc Mau reservoir's flood discharge system will be opened.

During the discharge process, depending on weather conditions and the amount of water flowing into Vuc Mau reservoir, the Irrigation Enterprise will operate the spillway gates according to the approved procedures and will issue warnings via sirens so that localities and people are aware and can proactively respond.
