Passenger bus rear-ends container on highway, 6 people injured and dead

According to information from the Expressway Engineering Services Joint Stock Company (VEC E), at 7:15 a.m. on October 19, an accident occurred on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, at km18 in Long Thanh district (Dong Nai).

At that time, the passenger bus with military license plate TK - 9681 was traveling on the highway from Ho Chi Minh City to Dau Giay.

At km18+300 in Long Thanh district, Dong Nai province, the passenger bus crashed into the back of a container truck with license plate 51R-10233, which was running in the same direction ahead.

The collision caused the front of the passenger bus to be deformed, 1 person died on the way to the emergency room, 5 others were injured and were treated at Long Thanh District Hospital.

Upon receiving the information, the Road and Railway Traffic Police Department (C67) together with the expressway management force and Long Thanh District Traffic Police were present, handled the scene and regulated traffic.
