Passenger bus rear-ends container truck on highway, 6 casualties.

According to information from the Vietnam Expressway Engineering Services Joint Stock Company (VEC E), at 7:15 AM on October 19th, an accident occurred on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway, at kilometer 18 in Long Thanh district (Dong Nai province).

At that time, the passenger bus with military license plate TK-9681 was traveling on the highway in the direction from Ho Chi Minh City to Dau Giay.

At kilometer 18+300 in Long Thanh district, Dong Nai province, a passenger bus rear-ended a container truck with license plate 51R-10233, which was traveling in the same direction ahead.

The collision caused the front of the passenger bus to be severely damaged; one person died en route to the hospital, and five others were injured and received treatment at Long Thanh District Hospital.

Upon receiving the information, the Department of Road and Rail Traffic Police (C67), along with the highway management force and the Long Thanh District Traffic Police, arrived at the scene to handle the situation and reroute traffic.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
