Nam Em won the Miss Photogenic award, leading the group of Asian contestants.
The Miss Photogenic title and two silver medals in the supplementary competitions helped the Vietnamese representative become the leading candidate among contestants from Asian countries.
The Miss Earth gala night, featuring performances and awards for the preliminary competitions, took place on the evening of October 24th (local time).
Outperforming 82 other contestants, Vietnam's representative, Nguyen Thi Le Nam Em, won the Miss Photogenic title at the Miss Earth 2016 competition, held in Myanmar. Following Nam Em were the contestant from the host country and the contestant from Venezuela, who came in third place.

Along with two silver medals in the talent and evening gown competitions, the Vietnamese representative now holds three awards. This achievement helps Miss Mekong Delta 2015 rise to the top position among Asian contestants. In the competition's ranking, Nam Em is ranked third, after the two representatives from the Americas, Ecuador and Mexico.

The beauty website SashFactor invited Nam Em to a live online Q&A session with her fans. The session attracted 40,000 views and followers. The Vietnamese representative was praised by many international viewers for her humor and friendliness.
Following the gala performance and awards ceremony, the contestants will have four days of rehearsals to prepare for the grand finale on the evening of October 29th. The event will take place at the Mall of Asia Arena, which has 20,000 seats.
