(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 27, the Economic Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association in coordination with the Nghe An Veterans Association organized a training conference on sustainable poverty reduction in 2016.

During the 1-day period, the trainees were introduced to the methods and procedures for assessing poor and near-poor households according to multidimensional approaches (in addition to average income, there are many other approaches such as health, culture, etc.) applied for the period 2016 - 2020 of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs; some new policies on sustainable poverty reduction; approaches to borrowing from social policy banks...

Veterans listened to the lecturer from the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs present the method and process of assessing poor and near-poor households according to multidimensional approach standards.

In addition, at the conference there were also presentations from groups and individuals about their experiences in building a model of Veterans helping each other reduce poverty and do good business...

The training course aims to provide specific information to help members of the War Veterans Association in the province access preferential loans and know how to use the capital effectively. At the same time, it helps officers and members of the War Veterans Association at all levels understand the responsibility of receiving loan trust, the process of establishing a savings and loan group, thereby promoting propaganda to members about preferential credit policies for poor households./.
