Hundreds of fishermen are using ropes to pull the sunken boat ashore during the night.

On the morning of October 20th, Mr. Nguyen Van Uoc, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tien Thuy commune, Quynh Luu district, stated that they are bringing fishing vessel number 93348 TS, owned by Mr. Truong Van Trang (38 years old), residing in Tien Thuy commune, Quynh Luu district, ashore for repairs. The estimated damage from the sinking is over 3 billion VND.

Earlier, at 9 PM on October 19th, while anchored at Lach Quen fishing port, the fishing boat tilted to one side and gradually sank into the sea. Upon discovering the incident, locals quickly called for help. On shore, hundreds of people watched and used ropes to pull the boat ashore; underwater, three large vessels were mobilized to maintain balance and gradually tow Mr. Trang's boat to shore.

By 11 PM that same day, after active rescue efforts by local residents and authorities, the ship was brought safely ashore.

The cause of the sinking was that the fishermen had previously stacked ice to preserve the fish unevenly along the side of the ship, leading to it sinking.
