Official information regarding the quarry collapse in Quy Hop.

(Baonghean.vn) - Two days after the collapse of a stone quarry belonging to Cuong Hai enterprise in Chau Quang commune, which resulted in 3 deaths and 1 injury, the Quy Hop district authorities have released official information.

According to a document from the Quy Hop district authorities, at approximately 4:30 PM on October 16, 2016, a rockslide occurred at the stone quarry of Cuong Hai Mineral and Trade Joint Stock Company, managed by Mr. Le Duy Hai (born in 1964), residing in Nhang village, Chau Cuong commune, Quy Hop district, in Thung Dat (Thung Xang), Banh village, Chau Quang commune (Quy Hop), resulting in 3 deaths.

The victims include: Luong Van Hung (born in 1983), residing in Quang Huong hamlet, Chau Quang commune; Lo Van Tuan (born in 1980), and Vi Van Hung (born in 1978), both residing in Dong Tien hamlet, Chau Cuong commune (Quy Hop district).

The injured person is Mr. Tran Van Tuyen (born in 1991), residing in Loc Yen commune (Huong Khe district, Ha Tinh province). Mr. Tuyen is currently receiving emergency treatment at Nghe An Friendship General Hospital. All four victims are workers of Cuong Hai Mineral and Trade Joint Stock Company.

At 9:30 PM on October 16th, after the autopsy, the investigating agency handed over the body to the family for burial according to local customs and traditions.

Initially, Quy Hop district provided each family with a deceased member 11.4 million VND. Cuong Hai Enterprise also provided each family with a deceased member 30 million VND to cover funeral expenses.

According to a representative from the Quy Hop District Police, the incident is still under investigation two days after it occurred.
