Vietnam is an attractive destination for English-speaking tourists.

With nearly 54% of its population speaking English, Vietnam is one of the most attractive destinations for foreign tourists.

Nicoday has just suggested some attractive countries for English-speaking travelers. This list is based on Education First's ranking of the foreign language proficiency of people in 70 countries and territories.

Accordingly, the percentage of Vietnamese people who can speak English is 53.81%, higher than Japan (53.57%), Thailand (45.35%) and only behind four countries in the same region: Singapore (61.08%), Malaysia (60.3%), India (58.21%), and South Korea (54.52%).

As suggested, with a high percentage of locals speaking English, international visitors may not need a dictionary when visiting markets, temples, tourist attractions, or traveling along rivers in Vietnam.
