Vietnam is an attractive destination for English-speaking tourists.
With nearly 54% of its population able to speak English, Vietnam is one of the most attractive destinations for foreign tourists.
Nicoday has just suggested some attractive countries for English-speaking tourists. This list is based on the Education First's ranking of foreign language skills of people in 70 countries and territories.

Accordingly, the percentage of Vietnamese people who can speak English is 53.81%, higher than Japan (53.57%), Thailand (45.35%) and only behind 4 countries in the same region: Singapore (61.08%), Malaysia (60.3%), India (58.21%), and South Korea (54.52%).
As suggested, with a high rate of local people knowing English, international visitors may not need a dictionary when going to markets, visiting temples, tourist attractions or walking along rivers in Vietnam.
