How many days off for New Year's Day?
In addition to presenting two plans for the 2017 Lunar New Year holiday, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs also proposed plans for holidays and New Year's Day in 2017. It is expected that the official holiday schedule will be approved by the Government in the coming days.
According to the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the beneficiaries of the above policy are cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of administrative agencies, public service agencies, political organizations, and socio-political organizations (hereinafter referred to as civil servants and public employees).
New Year's Day 2017 Holiday: Proposed 3-day break
Because New Year's Day falls on Sunday, coinciding with a weekly holiday, civil servants and public employees will have a compensatory day off on Monday, January 2, 2017.

The total number of days off for this occasion is 3 consecutive days. There is no swap day for this holiday.
Hung King's Commemoration Day Holiday: Two Options
Option 1: Take 1 holiday on Thursday, with 1 working day between the holidays, which is Friday, April 7, 2017 (ie March 11 of the Lunar calendar).
Option 2: Swap 1 working day with 1 weekly day off. Work on Saturday, April 15, 2017 to take Friday, April 7, 2017 off. The total number of days off for this occasion is 4 consecutive days off, from Thursday (April 6, 2017) to Sunday (April 9, 2017).
