The Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs notes that agencies and organizations that do not follow a fixed 2-day weekend holiday schedule (Saturday and Sunday) should arrange their holiday schedule based on their specific programs and plans.

Regarding the Lunar New Year holiday in 2017, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs presented two options: a 7-day holiday and a 10-day holiday. The Ministry proposed a 7-day holiday because the 2 days before Tet (not too short) and 5 days after Tet (not too long) are suitable for production, allowing workers to rest and stimulating consumer spending.
