Master of US election predictions: Will Trump be impeached?

The man dubbed the "professor of precognition," who accurately predicted the results of every US presidential election from 1984 to 2016, has just shared his latest prediction with CNN: Trump will be impeached!

History professor Allan Lichtman has accurately predicted every US presidential election since 1984, including Donald Trump's victory. Recently, he shared his prediction with CNN reporter Erin Burnet: "There's a very high probability that Donald Trump will face impeachment."

Lichtman often uses his own 13-question true/false rating system to predict whether a party will retain control of the White House after each election.

However, the professor admitted that he was relying solely on "instinct" to make this shocking prediction. With his victory in the recent national election, Donald Trump will officially become the 45th president of the United States after his inauguration on January 20, 2017.

Explaining his prediction, Lichtman said: “Throughout his life, Trump has repeatedly played with the law. He ran an illegal charity in New York. He donated to his campaign through this charity, which was also illegal. He also used this charity to settle personal business debts.”

He also reminded that Trump has already been sued by at least 12 women for alleged sexual assault. Former US President Bill Clinton once faced impeachment due to his sexual scandals, Lichtman recalled.

Furthermore, the president-elect faces the possibility of appearing in court on November 28th on charges related to his university. He is also accused of violating the embargo against Cuba by conducting business activities related to the neighboring country during the embargo period.

The history professor predicted that Trump is very likely to be impeached.

Reporter Erin Burnet also reminded the history professor that the entire US House of Representatives and Senate are currently controlled by Trump's Republican party. Not to mention that the US Supreme Court may soon appoint a pro-Republican judge after Trump takes office. With this solid "backing," it will be difficult for Trump to be removed from office, Erin Burnet concluded.

However, Professor Lichtman argues: “Republicans are also worried about Donald Trump. He’s a powder keg that could explode at any moment. Nobody knows what he’s really thinking or where his true position lies. Nobody can control him. Most Republicans might prefer Mike Pence. He’s a more conventional and predictable Republican.”
