100% of Vinh city's suburban communes meet 19/19 new rural criteria

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 19, the Organizing Committee for the implementation of the new rural target program of the province, headed by Mr. Dinh Viet Hong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and other sectors went to assess the communes of Vinh city.

Accompanying the delegation were leaders of Vinh city.

Before working with the City People's Committee, the delegation inspected a number of criteria on traffic, infrastructure... in Nghi Duc and Nghi An communes.

The provincial working group went to the field to inspect the new rural areas in suburban communes.

In recent years, Vinh city's economy has maintained rapid and sustainable development, all aspects of social life have improved, political security has been maintained, synchronized and ensured, and the living environment has been improved widely.

Nghi An people have high income from flower and ornamental plant craft village.

Regarding the policy of building new rural areas in 9 suburban communes of Vinh city, the City Party Committee and People's Committee have directly led, directed, and disseminated documents of the Central Government and Nghe An province on policies, regulations, and documents of the Central Government and Nghe An province on policies, regulations, and legal guidance on new rural areas in the localities for implementation.

Up to now, the city has mobilized 2,960,293 million VND, of which the central budget is 25,114 million VND, accounting for 0.85%; the provincial budget is 72,821 million VND; the city budget is 312,777.2 million VND; the commune budget is 366,437 million VND; the people contributed 1,880,269 million VND. 90% of working-age people have regular jobs.

Comrade Nguyen Ho Lam, Deputy Head of the Provincial Office of New Rural Area Coordination, assessed that 100% of the New Rural Area criteria in Vinh city were met and exceeded.

According to the assessment of the Provincial NMT Coordination Office, the city has completed the criteria of 41/41 members agreeing to recognize Vinh city as achieving 100% NTM criteria in the communes. 10 criteria exceeded the standard, including the income criterion. The remaining 9 criteria met the prescribed standards.

Comrade Dinh Viet Hong, Head of the Provincial New Rural Program Organizing Committee, highly appreciated the city's New Rural criteria.

Concluding the contents, comrade Dinh Viet Hong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, said: In recent times, the City has focused its efforts on many mechanisms and policies, creating conditions for communes to compete in building new rural areas. The new rural criteria, especially the average income per capita, have now reached 33.8 million VND/person/year. Comrade Dinh Viet Hong affirmed: 19 new rural criteria according to the city's regulations have reached the finish line.

This is a welcome initial result for the city, the province and the city in completing the dossier and procedures to submit to the central government. He also noted that the city will maintain and further develop areas with higher requirements.
