While driving his motorbike in the wrong lane, a young man from Nam Dinh province, when stopped by traffic police in Ha Nam, refused to comply, threw his keys in the face of a traffic police officer, and then set his motorbike on fire.

On the afternoon of November 27th, Major Pham Viet Hung, Head of the Traffic Police Team of Phu Ly City Police, Ha Nam province, confirmed that earlier that day, a young man set fire to his motorbike after being penalized by traffic police for a traffic violation.

Accordingly, at around 11:00 AM on November 27th, while traffic police officers were on duty at a traffic checkpoint on National Highway 1, connecting to Bien Hoa Road in Phu Ly City, they spotted a young man driving an Attila motorbike in the wrong lane, traveling from Ha Nam to Hanoi.

The car was completely burned to a crisp within minutes.

At this point, two traffic police officers signaled the vehicle to stop for a traffic violation. However, after his pleas were denied, the young man – identified as Nguyen Van Hiep, born in 1983, residing in Nghia Thinh commune, Nghia Hung district, Nam Dinh province – began cursing and insulting the two traffic police officers on duty.

Not stopping there, when asked to sign the penalty notice, the young man threw the keys in the faces of the two traffic police officers, then rode his motorbike a short distance before setting it on fire.

The traffic police team reported the incident to the Phu Ly City Police for investigation and handling according to their authority.
