Female district official fined 21 million VND for deforestation.
(Baonghean.vn) - Regarding the incident of illegally cutting down nearly 2 hectares of forest classified as 1c in Lot 1, Section 5, Sub-area 197 NaPha Vang Doong (Nam Bong area, Chau Hanh commune) in April 2016, the Quy Chau District People's Committee has issued a decision to impose administrative penalties on two individuals, including a district official.
The two individuals fined by the Quy Chau District People's Committee are Ms. Vu Thi Bang and Ms. Tran Thi Hai Van, both residing in Ke Bon village, Chau Hanh commune.
Ms. Tran Thi Hai Van is an officer at the Land Use Rights Registration Office of the Quy Chau District People's Committee.
Administrative penalty decisions No. 3986 and 3897/QD-XPVPHC clearly state that both individuals committed the administrative violation of illegal deforestation.

Reportedly, around the beginning of April 2016, the Quy Chau District Forest Management Unit and local authorities discovered a group of people illegally cutting down nearly 2 hectares of forest classified as 1c at plot 35, lot 1, section 5, sub-area 197 Na Pha Vang Doong (Nam Bong area, Chau Hanh commune).
After documenting the incident and suspending the deforestation, the authorities in Quy Chau district conducted an investigation and verification; through which they discovered that Ms. Vu Thi Bang and Ms. Tran Thi Hai Van were the ones who organized the aforementioned deforestation.

For illegal deforestation, Ms. Tran Thi Hai Van was fined 21 million VND by the District People's Committee; Ms. Vu Thi Bang was fined 20 million VND.
