Female district official fined 21 million VND for deforestation
(Baonghean.vn) - Regarding the case of cutting down nearly 2 hectares of state 1c forest in lot 1, compartment 5, sub-area 197 NaPha Vang Doong (Nam Bong area, Chau Hanh commune) in April 2016, the People's Committee of Quy Chau district issued a decision to administratively sanction 2 subjects, including a district official.
The two subjects punished by the People's Committee of Quy Chau district are Ms. Vu Thi Bang and Ms. Tran Thi Hai Van, both residing in Ke Bang village, Chau Hanh commune.
Ms. Tran Thi Hai Van is an officer of the Land Use Rights Registration Office of the People's Committee of Quy Chau district.
Administrative penalty decisions No. 3986 and 3897/QD-XPVPHC clearly state that both subjects committed the administrative violation: Illegal deforestation.

It is known that in early April 2016, the Forest Protection Department of Quy Chau district and local authorities discovered a group of people cutting down nearly 2 hectares of state 1c forest at plot 35, lot 1, compartment 5, sub-area 197 Na Pha Vang Doong (Nam Bong area, Chau Hanh commune).
After making a record and suspending the deforestation, the authorities of Quy Chau district conducted an investigation and verification; thereby discovering that Ms. Vu Thi Bang and Ms. Tran Thi Hai Van were the ones who organized the above deforestation.

For illegal deforestation, Ms. Tran Thi Hai Van was fined 21 million VND by the District People's Committee; Ms. Vu Thi Bang was fined 20 million VND.
