Unexpected revelation about Hillary's defeat
Hillary Clinton's campaign manager has denied reports that President Barack Obama advised the former secretary of state to concede.
According to Mr. Robby Mook, there was no way that President Barack Obama advised Mrs. Hillary Clinton to concede defeat to Mr. Donald Trump on the night of November 8. Mr. Mook said that Mrs. Hillary herself made the decision, before having a conversation with Mr. Obama.

“She made her decision before she spoke to the president,” Mr. Mook said on CNN’s State of the Union, which also featured Kellyanne Conway, Donald Trump’s campaign manager.
This is the first time the campaign managers of Mr. Trump and Mrs. Clinton have appeared together since the presidential election ended.
“She did it because she believed and because she said during the campaign that no matter who won, it was important that the opponent concede and support the president-elect. So she did it with the best of intentions,” Mr. Mook said.
After hearing Mr. Mook reveal the above information, Ms. Kellyanne Conway, campaign manager of President-elect Donald Trump, spoke up, saying that because Mrs. Hillary accepted defeat that night, her supporters should move on.
“I want to ask Hillary supporters, will you accept the election results? Because he is your president too,” said Ms. Conway.
Previously, The Hill newspaper quoted three sources close to Mrs. Hillary as saying that on election night, November 8, when the voting results were becoming clear, US President Barack Obama himself called Mrs. Hillary Clinton to convince the former Secretary of State to concede defeat to her opponent.
“You need to concede,” Mr. Obama reportedly told Mrs. Hillary, while the former secretary of state, his family and top advisers continued to monitor the vote count in the “battleground” states of Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.
According to The Hill, Mrs. Hillary finally listened to Mr. Obama's advice and called Mr. Trump to admit defeat early in the morning of November 9.
Sources quoted by The Hill said that the surprise call from US President Barack Obama disappointed some of Hillary Clinton's allies, who still believed that she should have waited longer.
In another development, on December 3, Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein announced that she will bring the issue of recounting presidential election votes in Pennsylvania to federal court.
Ms. Stein will file a petition in federal court on December 5. Earlier that day, Ms. Stein withdrew her request for a recount in Pennsylvania.
