Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) admits 130 new members.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 26th, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nghe An branch, held a meeting with its members and a ceremony to welcome new members in 2016.

The attendees included: Le Quang Huy – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; and Hoang Quang Phong – Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Office.

Comrade Le Quang Huy – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee – delivered a speech at the ceremony.

Nghe An currently has approximately 15,300 registered businesses, of which more than 9,000 are operational. Businesses in Nghe An are diverse, with the largest proportion being trade and services (32.19%), construction (24%), mining and processing (12.64%), and other sectors.

The conference is an opportunity for networking, exchanging, and sharing experiences so that businesses can overcome difficulties and obstacles together and move towards sustainable development. It is also an opportunity for the Nghe An branch of VCCI to express its gratitude and thanks to the support and assistance of the government, departments, agencies, and businesses and organizations that have placed their trust in and partnered with VCCI throughout the years.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Le Quang Huy highly appreciated the significant contributions of the business community and entrepreneurs to the socio-economic development of the province in recent years. The provincial leadership is very concerned about the development of businesses, constantly striving to reform administrative procedures, and continuing the "3 accompanying, 5 supporting" initiatives to work alongside businesses.

Currently, businesses in Nghe An are mostly small and micro-sized, with unclear business strategies and limited capabilities. Therefore, the province will continue to review and improve its institutional framework and enhance its sense of responsibility in supporting businesses.

We admitted over 130 new businesses as members in 2016.
