Thailand swept all the awards at the 2016 AFF Cup.
Besides winning the championship, the Thai team also won three other awards: Top Scorer, Best Player, and Fair Play.

The top scorer award went to striker Teerasil Dangda. Despite not scoring in the second leg of the final, he finished the tournament with 6 goals. This is double the total goals scored by the second-placed group, which included Boas Solossa (Indonesia), Sarawut Masuk, and Siroch Chatthong (both from Thailand).
This is the third time Dangda has won the top scorer title at the AFF Cup. The previous two times were in 2008 and 2012, with four and five goals respectively. In both of those tournaments, Thailand finished as runners-up.

Giải Cầu thủ hay nhất được trao cho Chanathip Songkrasin. Ban tổ chức đánh giá tiền vệ có biệt danh "Messi Thái" này là nhạc trưởng không thể thiếu trong màn trình diễn thành công của đội tuyển xứ Chùa Vàng. Đây cũng là lần thứ hai liên tiếp Songkrasin giành danh hiệu Cầu thủ hay nhất AFF Cup.
Với lối chơi hiệu quả, đẹp mắt và không phải nhận nhiều thẻ, Thái Lan giành thêm giải Fair Play. Giải năm nay có ba đội có cầu thủ phải nhận thẻ đỏ hoặc bị cấm thi đấu do nhận hai thẻ vàng gồm Singapore, Indonesia và Việt Nam. Trong đó, Việt Nam là đội duy nhất có hai thẻ đỏ trực tiếp. Tại giải năm 2014, Việt Nam là đội giành giải Fair Play.
