Besides winning the championship, the Thai team also won three other awards: Top Scorer, Best Player, and Fair Play.

The top scorer award went to striker Teerasil Dangda. Despite not scoring in the second leg of the final, he finished the tournament with 6 goals. This is double the total goals scored by the second-placed group, which included Boas Solossa (Indonesia), Sarawut Masuk, and Siroch Chatthong (both from Thailand).

This is the third time Dangda has won the top scorer title at the AFF Cup. The previous two times were in 2008 and 2012, with four and five goals respectively. In both of those tournaments, Thailand finished as runners-up.

This also marks the second consecutive time this award has been given.Songkrasin won the Best Player award at the AFF Cup.

With their effective, attractive style of play and minimal card disqualification, Thailand won the Fair Play award. This year's tournament saw three teams with players receiving red cards or suspensions due to receiving two yellow cards: Singapore, Indonesia, and Vietnam. Vietnam was the only team with two direct red cards. In the 2014 tournament, Vietnam won the Fair Play award.
