Sources say withRIA Novostithat: “The Russian ambassador to the US (Sergey Kislyak) will represent Russia at the inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump, in accordance with a long-standing tradition.”

This statement comes amid speculation that Russian President Vladimir Putin will attend Trump's inauguration on January 20th, as well as accusations from US intelligence that Russia was behind cyberattacks aimed at influencing the US election.

Trump's inauguration is expected to attract a large number of celebrities, including politicians. Former President Bill Clinton and former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton are also expected to attend the event.

In a related development, the committee in charge of organizing Trump's inauguration announced yesterday that they have raised more than $90 million for the event, a figure that is expected to continue to rise.
